Comfortable, convenient - just what we needed!
Pros: This was perfect for us - a couple, needing a base in Carpentras for visits to different locations in the surrounding area. Decent sized bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner/sitting room - and a balcony which was fabulous for a G&T before supper. (Also, secure car parking in a gated garage.) So often when looking for self catering spaces you have to choose between a studio which is cramped, or a house where a number of bedrooms (and the associated cost!) go unused. It was a short walk to the (beautiful) town centre - for visits to restaurants and the huuuge market. We knew we were going to be using a spare apartment in a seniors residence; we have stayed in similar apartments before and they are fine. The residents are charming!
Cons: Surprised that despite having a kitchen area there was no coffee making kit….thankfully we had seen this from other reviews, and had brought a cafetière. Also surprised there was no sharp kitchen knife (we brought) and chopping board (we didn’t!).

Fantastic idea, will certainly use the chain of hotels again
Pros: Domitys is mainly a private residential home for independent elderly people, but also runs as a hotel, it's a fantastic idea, I just wish I could speak French as I would have happily sat with some of the residents and had a chat. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and has everything you need. Because of the manner of the building you are basically renting a 1 bedroom apartment which is roomy and also air conditioned and has blackout curtains. You have access to an indoor pool and small gym. You are also able to use the restaurant if you want to at an extra cost. The staff are lovely and went out of the way to help us printing out information in English. The balcony is large with a table and chairs. Very secure parking. It was so peaceful and very well sound proffed which was lovely after spending time in so many places with noisy neighbours.
Cons: The only thing I would say is that you need to take a few kitchen essentials if you plan to stay a while and cook. There were 2 pans for the hob, 4 cups, glasses, plates, cutlery and bowls and the crockery can be used in the microwave but no sharp knives or any cooking utensils, apart from a spatula, but no frying pan 🙄 I didn't want to mark it down for this though.

Peaceful place
Pros: Lovely experience! Although the staff didn’t speak English, they were very friendly, and I did my best to communicate in French. The room was spacious, clean, and more like a studio apartment, comfortable. I didn’t realize it was a senior residence, but honestly, I found it sweet to be surrounded by the grannies. It gave the place a unique and heartwarming charm. I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t mind coming back!

It has been brilliant, we love those residences for seniors, which are free to rent for people.
Pros: Breakfast was good, location excellent..although both my wife and I are over 80’s, we drove from UK to France, and enjoyed every single minute of our stay at Domitys, Carpentras, we booked it with you last year and this year, we’ll go there again..We wish you have more accomodation like this across..any in Alsace?? or in the Black Forest in Germany??
Cons: All perfect, no improvement needed.

Pros: The apartments were all new, equipped with all the necessary amenities and above all it was super clean. It is five minutes walk from the city center, and it offers a parking lot. The staff is incredibly helpful.
Cons: I want to start with something that has nothing to do with the facility. I was travelling from Vienna to Carpentras to follow up an appointment with a client and I didn’t know if I would catch or not the last train from Avignon to Carpentras that is why I didn’t immediately book a room. When it was almost 8pm and it looked like the train was on time, I thought now its time to book - then strange things started to happen. One of the hotels that had tons of free rooms in booking (where I often stay in town) disappeared from the listing. To double check I called them directly and the answer was ‘we are closed but look there are some other options’ (you could ask yourself how can an hotel that has rooms to lend close…, and to be honest that’s tormenting me)! All the other options were also fully booked. Then I found a tiny apartment in the city center, I booked it and at the moment the confirmation came the owner calls and says that someone else has already booked it by phone…, but she offers to send me to a place that I had the possibility to book, but I didn’t want to… The only one option in town was the Domitys. To be honest at that point I just wanted a roof over my head and I didn’t check the opening hours of the facility, but since booking sent me the reservation confirmation I thought that should be okay. When I arrived around 9:30 pm, a lady showed up worried. She was the janitor, as the services there were all closed and no one else was in the facility. She said that the facility works also as a hotel, but it close the check in at 8pm sharp. I want to take time to thank her as she was the one to make it possible for me to have a room for the night although she didn’t have a clue of what she was doing. And the cherry on top I had to leave the room by 9 am as it was already booked by a couple the very next day. All the story is emphasised in three sentences: 1. Never go there by night! 2. If you go there by night you better check your option ahead! 3.

Super stay in a great apartment, ideal for exploring the area.
Pros: Loved the apartment. So clean and spacious, and very handy 10 min walk into the centre of Carpentras. We used it as a base to explore the area. Reception staff could not have been nicer. We were surprised to find it was part of an ‘assisted living’ complex, but this was not a problem at all so don’t be put off by that. We were told they often rent out apartments to guests and visitors in France. We met some lovely residents, but most of the time we were out. Fab balcony for the morning sun (or evening drinks) and a well appointed kitchen/living area. We appreciated the little touches of free tea/coffee and water. Excellent place to stay to explore the area.
Cons: It was all great.
