Pretty Apartment and Helpful Host

Pros: Exactly as expected from the photos and description. Camelia is a very helpful host who gave me full info and checked via message, every day to see all okay Very comfortable and super bathroom.

Cons: Roadworks outside the property which start at 7am. The other residents of the building were a bit noisy later at night. Earplugs and close the windows overnight recommended.

Pros: Free WiFi, excellent shower, and close to the old town.

Cons: Road works directly outside, but not the host's fault.

We loved Aix and this apartment had a lot to do with our enjoyment of the city.

Pros: The apartment is beautifully renovated but keeping the charm of the old building. It was exceptionally clean and there were many added touches such as shower gel, extra towels, lots of toilet paper. Carmelia was lovely and very easy to communicate with. A fantastic place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Pleasant and comfortable apartment for one or two

Pros: Excellent location, very pleasant and well-equipped modern apartment in a lovely old building. Easy check-in and -out.

Cons: Hard to think of anything negative. If anything, there was a bit of noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs if you’re sensitive to that but the best choice is to go down and join them!

I had a relatively long stay and it was nice to be in an apartment rather than a hotel.

Pros: Very central location - near to both good shops, Hotel de Ville square and the Rotonde. Lots of shops and places to eat. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Very old historic building but great updates, especially to kitchen and bathroom. The photo I added shows the historic fountain that could be seen from the apartment window. (Potable water like all fountains in Aix!)

Pros: The apartment overlooked an old fountain and was close to restaurants and cafes in the old town, also a short walk to the information centre from where our tours departed. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet at night, with the windows closed. Make sure to download the clear photos on how to get keys and get into the apartment before you get to the apartment. It is very difficult otherwise (our fault as our phone stopped working).

Cons: Nothing of note. Would happily return here.

Pros: Lovely flat, great facilities, looked new. Roomy. Great location. Camelia communicated frequently on WhatsApp as she had limited English and we had very limited French

Pros: An incredible, spacious, newly renovated and clean apartment in the heart of Aix. Host was always very quick to respond. There is street parking which is free at night otherwise there are paid carparks a short walking distance. Building felt safe and secure. So close to everything you need and want to visit. Laundry right nearby too at a good price. The restaurant below the apartment is delicious too. People may worry being above a restaurant and bar that it would be really noisy at night but the double glazed windows meant we didn't hear anything from the streets below.

Cons: The host does really try to explain check in but like other reviews here it is still a bit confusing. The best explanation is the lock box is in the alleyway behind the apartment, and the apartment door is right next to the restaurant on the main street facing the fountain. Hope that helps others in future!

Amazing apartment

Pros: Beautiful property, really clean, great location, lovely host

Pros: Very clean and excellent bathroom facilities. Once we got a fan, the temperature was fine. Very good wifi and most convenient location.

Cons: The locks took a bit of practice but made us feel the studio was quite secure - so this was more of a positive :)
