Villa Hautvallon - Peaceful Escape in Provence

A good stay

Pros: We loved almost everything about this beautiful property. The host family was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful—checking in with us to ensure our stay was extra special. The 15-minute walk to the town centre was just what we needed to help walk off lunch or dinner. The peaceful garden and inviting pool made it even more enjoyable to wander and relax.

Cons: There are quite a few stairs, which could be challenging for some guests. The bed was comfortable, though the mattress may be due for an update.

Most beautiful accommodation in the most beautiful location

Pros: This property is absolutely beautiful - it was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The host is extremely friendly and very helpful at giving tips on what to do in the day. The breakfast is gorgeous and the other staff are so friendly and helpful.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like - everything was exceptional

Exceptional!

Pros: We stayed in the family suite - it is enormous and tastefully decorated. The beds were sooo comfortable. Breakfast each day was delicious and we also enjoyed other meals on site - beautiful healthy salads which was just what we were craving. We also walked into Gourdes villages for some amazing meals at Airelles. The service is very personable and friendly. With just five suites spread out on the property, it felt like a perfect combination of private villa and boutique hotel.

Beautiful villa stay in walking distance of Gordes, 10/10

Pros: Beautiful villa in walking distance from Gordes. It is picture perfect, feels authentic but also is luxury. Huge grounds, with a big pool area so it never feels crowded with other guests. The family who owns the villa were great, and every morning came down and gave us recommendations on what to do in the local area.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

Fabulous mansion guest house with an amazing setting

Pros: An amazing converted mansion with beautiful original features, in a gorgeous setting just outside Gordes. Our room overlooking the garden, with its own garden entrance and small terrace, was spectacular. Large bathroom with a fantastic, spacious shower. The pool area with loungers is also absolutely stunning. Breakfast is quite simple but very good. Owner Pierre was friendly and efficient and very helpful with suggestions of where to eat in town.

Cons: Not a criticism but the villa is a little tricky to find, and on the road out of town. Our car's GPS system tried to make us drive down a narrow footpath no wider than the car itself so we had to call Pierre for instructions. Would be helpful to have these in advance. It's worth mentioning also that the walk into town is about 15 minutes, so not ideally to be attempted in the heat of the day. There's paid parking halfway to town so take the car and then walk the rest.

Great relaxing stay in Gordes

Pros: Beautiful location, great calm common spaces. Nice old house. Big room. Good service and recommendations.

Cons: The room could use a fresh up and there are no shutters so light comes in early in the morning. They charge you for eggs at breakfast. I would rather pay more for the night and have it included

Pros: Beautiful location in countryside and lovely property, but above all the owners and staff were so helpful, caring and the perfect hosts. Their warmth and attention to detail was exceptional - thank you Pierre and your parents and the lovely enthusiastic young lady at reception

Amazing!

Pros: Amazing old Mas with great character and style. Walking distance from Gordes restaurants. Family run. Pierre and his Mother Maryanne were incredible hosts, giving us advice on where to go, what to do and even booking restaurants for us. breakfast in the morning is out by the pool in a sunny beautiful breakfast room. We will be coming back here for sure!

Cons: The only tiny thing I can possibly think of is the presence of a few silk/plastic flowers but that is a personal thing.

This is a beautiful property, we had an amazing stay, all the perks of a hotel but with a homely boutique feel.
