Hope to stay again.

Pros: Pleasant and helpful owners willing to speak French with those willing to make the attempt themselves, but English for practical purposes if needed. Breakfast with a home-made feel served personally in private courtyard. Solid ancient building with rooms full of art books. Location just at edge of centre of town (two minutes' walk away), and quiet. Parking in street also within two minutes' walk.

Wonderful hosts. Beautiful apartment. Perfect location.

Pros: Beautiful building in a beautiful village. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of attention to detail and we wanted for nothing. But best of all, the owners of the property are its most precious asset; we received a warm welcome, were well cared for, and it felt as though we were staying with old friends. AND the breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

A perfect stay right in the center of Menerbes.

Pros: An old stonehouse right in the center of Menerbes which has been transformed by Severine and Vincent (picture) into a fine place of warm hospitality. Spacious and clean rooms, good beds, excellent breakfast. A perfect stay!

A magical and authentic stay at Maison Joly in Ménerbes

Pros: Staying in the historic house inherited by Vincent felt like stepping into a fairy tale. Surrounded by art, books, and the quiet beauty of Provence, we were immersed in a world shaped by generations. Severine and Vincent were kind, attentive, and welcoming. At our small suggestion, they even added an iron to the room to improve our comfort—an example of their care and thoughtfulness. Of course, staying in a home with such history can come with small inconveniences, but if you arrive with an open heart, the experience becomes truly delightful. It’s authentic, rich in character, and offers a rare glimpse into the preservation of a meaningful family legacy. For a few days, we were grateful to be part of that story.

A lovely home stay experience

Pros: We loved our stay in this beautiful house- our room was beautiful & our suite was spacious! Our hosts were friendly & kind and gave us an awesome breakfast! The home was well located to explore the village and we felt very safe there 🙂

Pros: Beautiful home in the village center. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and the hosts are generous and kind. We would gladly stay again!

Cons: That we were only here one night.

Pros: The structure is located in the center of the small village of Ménerbes and it’s an amazing historical house. The room was very large, clean and bright, with a wonderful view on the surrounding hills. Breakfast was superb, freshly made by the owners, who were very friendly and happy to accommodate our requests. It was a great and fascinating experience staying in such a wonderful place.

Cons: Nothing important; the only small aspect is that water pressure was low in the bathroom, but it’s expected in such historical house and overrun by its beauty.

We are glad to stay here.

Authentic, historic and bursting with charm.

Pros: Located in the most beautiful village in France. This authentic, historic and warm home is home wonderful. We travelled as a family of 3 generation’s (grandparents, parents and 2x toddlers 2 and 3). Booking both rooms we had the whole place to ourselves with Vincent and Sabine. The breakfast was possibly the best breakfast ever.

Cons: Nothing. It’s authentic. If you want to feel like you’re staying in a true home in Menerbes this is it. If you want clean lines and don’t appreciate beautiful interiors go elsewhere!
