Ancienne Maison des Gardes

A relaxing stay of 8 nights in this lovely old building tucked away in an impasse.

Pros: A charming, comfortable, clean apartment with a basic kitchen. A peaceful haven with a courtyard shaded with climbers and plants, welcome against the heat. The owners were very pleasant and helpful.

Delightful property with superb hosts

Pros: We liked our hosts Robin and Rose very much. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort - much appreciated. So conveniently situated and v peaceful. Small but cosy with a private sitting out area. Spotlessly clean and lovely regional toiletries provided. Thank you both.

Cons: Nothing - all good.

Excellently located apartment in touristic town in Provence

Pros: Location in Lourmarin was excellent. Very close access to the hill villages of Provence. The rooms (bed and kitchen) were generous size, and good facilities to self cater some meals. There was an outer verandah where clothes could be dried post washing. Robin and Rosie our hosts were generous in advice about local travel and things to do. Kettle.

Cons: Parking was difficult although we managed it day to day.

Lourmarin is a charming village. Restaurants, castle, shops, wine tastings

Pros: Self catering apartments within the host’s house. There are 4. There is a private courtyard and balconies. You’re placed literally on the edge of the village, a couple of minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

Cons: It’s a perfect spot. Maybe hard to park cars nearby but that’s because of its popularity.

An excellent property for visiting in Provence and Lourmarin.

Pros: The location was excellent - within easy walking distance to the grocer, the restaurants, the old village and the chateau. The spacious room and terrace were very comfortable. Our host, Robin was very gracious and hospitable. A lovely walking path is located at the end of the drive.

Cons: Finding a parking space can take time but is free.

A charming place to stay in Lourmarin.

Pros: Lovely balcony, spacious room (including shower room), AC, tea & coffee machine, small fridge, etc.

Cons: Nothing in particular.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful area of France. The owners gave us some great advice about places to visit etc.

Pros: The location was very good. A great base for discovering Provence

Cons: The ‘private‘ terrace is used as an access route for another apartment so is not very private.

The most fabulous place to stay in one of Provence’s most beautifully villages.

Pros: The property was beautifully decorated, big comfortable bed and nice areas to sit. The terrace was just a gorgeous place to have breakfast and coffee. The kitchen and bathroom were well appointed. Lots of fabulous reading material, including helpful information on the location. Our hosts Rose and Robin could not have been more hospitable, they made our stay just perfect.

Great location

Pros: Great location to explore Lourmarin and surrounds. Smallish room but very comfortable and fit for purpose for a 1-2 night stay.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, so dass wir bestimmt einmal wiederkommen werden.

Pros: Die Vermieter Rose und Robin waren sehr freundlich und sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Studie ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Lage ist sehr ruhig, die Terrasse zum Innenhof ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Die Lage ist optimal: wenn man den Hof verlässt, hat man einen sehr schönen Blick auf das Schloss. Alle Cafes, Restaurants und Geschäfte in Lourmarin kann man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichen. Der große Markt am Freitag ist direkt vor der Tür.
