Best Western Domaine de Roquerousse

Comfortable overnight stay

Pros: Good choice of breakfast items. We liked the coffee and soft drinks. No dessert spoons available to eat cereal, only tea-spoons and pastries were stale.

Cons: Breakfast pastries were not freshly baked and there was no butter for spreading on bread.

Great hotel close to the centre of Salon de Provence

Pros: Great hotel in a good location a short walk from the centre of Salon de Provence. The room was very large with a very comfortable bed. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and always available. There was also plenty of parking available and the hotel was easy to find.

Cons: Nothing particularly.

Hotel in the pine trees

Pros: Independent semi-detached house located in the middle of the pine trees. Breakfast is served as a buffet with lots of choices. The swimming pool is large and the area around it is spacious. There is also a tennis table.

Cons: Large electric power lines around the hotel.

Pros: I booked this hotel last minute after my car broke down in the middle of the night. Staff were friendly and helpful. After a walk (over an hour) into Salon and Uber back, I had a lovely afternoon alone by the pool. The hotel is dated but grounds are beautiful.

Cons: The hotel is dated but the room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been recently renovated. There wasn't a lift and I had heavy baggage but the man that checked me in helped carry my bags.

Good stopover stay and excellent food.

Pros: The room was fine and much like all Best Western hotel rooms - clean and serviceable, and ideal for a stopover stay. The position was unusual - on one side, it is adjacent to an electricity power station with lots of pylons going out in all directions but luckily barely noticeable once in hotel grounds, and very close to A7 motorway. However to the other side of the hotel was wonderful countryside and numerous walking and cycling tracks! There is also a great restaurant in an attractive restored old barn right next to the main building.

Cons: Even though it is close to the A7 motorway there is no slip road nearby so a little difficult to access the property. There is some humming from the motorway outside but once in our room we didn’t notice this. We also thought the room was rather expensive compared to other similar places we have stayed.

A decent budget option

Pros: A pleasant, value for money option near Salon de Provence. The rooms are fairly basic but comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were set in a lovely garden and dinner was excellent.

Cons: Access wasn’t easy with a lot of steps and no lift. Breakfast was okay but fresh fruit would have been nice.

Pros: Lovely quiet location,well maintained extensive grounds.

Pros: Nice place. The staff is professional and nice. Was there on the way to the coast for one night. Thanks again. I recommend this place!

Pros: Beautiful setting, great restaurant, ideal place for a stopover for a family on the way to French riviera. Great for the kids, as the swimming pool is a welcome retreat, food in the restaurant was really good.

Cons: Maybe some areas could be updated, but I suspect this is an ongoing project anyway.

Overall good for a one night stay

Pros: One night stay. Family room comfortable and quiet Room temperature good Restaurant for dinner was amazing

Cons: Pool area a little run down Hard to find. Some signs and then no signs so lots of people taking wrong route.
