Pros: Delightful hosts providing fresh breakfasts and good conversation. Beautiful setting above Aix centre with gardens and terrace to relax in. Easy but uphill walk to house from centre. Occasionally delicious tapas offered in the evening. A real taste of Provence. Thank you!

Pros: We really loved our stay in Villa les Iris. It is a private room with sepate bathroom in the room and a private toilet one door outside of the room. The hosts are really kind and lovely persons who really care about everything! Because of the cold weather, our breakfast was prepared in their kitchen. It was really nice with eggs, croissant, jams, coffee, bread and chocolatines. The room is amazing and the view from the terrace over aix is even more amazing! Just 10 min walk from the room into the town. We really enjoyed everything!

We were treated so well like friends more than guests.

Pros: We loved you could walk into town in 10 mins, we loved the swimming pool. We loved the view and we loved how welcoming we were treated by Isabelle and Didie. It was hot and they provided a fan. Nothing was too much bother.

Unique and charming place to stay right by the town centre

Pros: The property is within a house that is a hidden oasis of charm within a 15 walk of the city centre . The decor and furnishings are unique , high quality and stylish. Much better than a hotel! The host Isabellle is very friendly and helpful , accommodated our extremely late check in due to a puncture and makes the most delicious breakfast. The room had its own patio area with lovely views. The gardens and view are breathtakingly beautiful. The pool area is fabulous but I was too cowardly to go in in November.

Cons: The parking was on the street. The garden was poorly lit for access back through the garden from the town at night. The toilet was in the main house and not within the bedroom area. It would be great to have a kettle and some mugs in the room so we could make a hot drink .

Great base with great breakfast

Pros: Really nice house with fantastic views over Aix and great sunsets. Hosts were super friendly and gave us 3 fabulous breakfasts, even though our last day was an early start. Easy to walk into the city in 15-20 minutes.

Cons: The lack of storage was a bit awkward, but for 3 days we could manage. The room is being renovated in November so I’m sure this will be sorted.

The host was a wonderful conversationalist, the room was comfortable, and the pool was lovely. I’d love to visit again

Pros: Walking distance to town, large private property with pool. Room is a separate annex. The host is a lovely caring person

Perfect for those seeking affordable luxury without the informality of a hotel.

Pros: Exceptional location! Amazing views- including sun set - yet close enough to walk into town. The property itself was beautiful inside and out. Isabella was a wonderful host and breakfast was great.

Pros: We loved the proximity of the house to Aix-en-Provence. The garden around the house is also very relaxing, and with the sun in Provence it was a get-away worth making a trip.

Cons: It felt a bit awkward at first to use the restroom adjacent to the hosts’ living quarters, but their hospitality and genuine warmth quickly made the stay feel more like visiting family than staying with strangers.

Toller Aufenthalt bei liebenswerten Gastgebern!

Pros: Die tolle Lage oberhalb der Stadt und die Möglichkeit, von dort zu Fuß in 10 Minuten in die Innenstadt zu laufen. Außerdem ein sehr schöner Pool und ganz herzliche, liebenswerte Gastgeber!!!
