La Halte Gourmande

Nathalie and Marc went out of their way to look after us while we cared for our grandson.

Pros: The view of the surrounding countryside was beautiful. Our hosts were generous and friendly. Excellent breakfast - they catered well for our grandson.

Cons: Although they accepted credit card, there was a very large surcharge (20 Euro) to cover bank fees, so we had to travel elsewhere to get cash. The town is very isolated and the few shops there accepted cash only.

Fantastic views and property

Pros: Fantastic location up in the mountains. Vacheres is a very traditional French village with no road names.

Cons: Location and views. Owner was very friendly

Amazing!!

Pros: Marc and Nathalie are the perfect hosts! They really have the personal touch and a passion for food, drink, hosting, comfort and service that shows in everything that they do! They were always on hand to offer friendly chat, or advice on local activities and services. We could honestly not ask for more. We leave having made new friends and feeling like we have known them for years we will absolutely be back here to stay again. Good value, comfortable, welcoming, stunning views, great food and great service. Thankyou so much!!

Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: Nathalie and Marc were such formidable hosts! We had a visit planned in the area and only stayed for one night. We arrived late, and they had prepared everything and allowed us to deal with the paperwork the next day, which was super convenient since we just wanted to sleep. The breakfast was delicious, Nathalie and Marc are passionate about hosting guests and you could feel it in the conversation. Would definitely recommend!

Cons: Nothing comes to mind, perhaps the entrance looks a bit like a private property but Marc has renovation plans to turn it into a beautiful gated access ;)

A home away from home in a beautiful part of the world!

Pros: We went for a wedding in Oppedette and we’re glad we chose this location! Vacheres is a pretty village and was a great base for exploring the region - accessible but not touristy! Our hosts, Marc and Nathalie, were very friendly and made everyone feel totally at home. Nathalie was such a warm and caring lady - we wished we could speak French just to communicate more with her! Both clearly enjoy bringing people together like one happy family - there was a great vibe throughout our stay!

Y a pas mieux à des km à la ronde.

Pros: Tout était très bien. Je ne me suis pas trompé dans mon choix en réservant dans cet endroit. Accueil, gentillesse, qualité des produits consommés. Calme, beauté de l'endroit.

Cons: Aucun reproche à faire.

Inoubliable !

Pros: Quand les mots Partage et Découverte prennent tout leur sens, tout était parfait, les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres, la vie sur la vallée à couper le souffle et surtout ne manquez pas le repas exceptionnel! De l’entrée au dessert nous nous sommes régalés et découvert les produits de la région! Du producteur à l’assiette en passant par les mains de Marc, le chef, qui nous a régalé ! Une très belle découverte ! cette adresse vaut vraiment le détour. On retient l’adresse pour revenir et surtout la partager !

Très bon séjour

Pros: Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec de bons produits sur une terrasse où la vue est à couper le souffle. Nos hotes sont toujours disponibles pour nous guider dans notre périple avec une gentilesse sincère. Ils proposent des dejeuners et diners sur commande qui sont de belle qualité. Nous recommandons Nathalie et Marc
