Hôtel Mas Valentine

Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful and peaceful. A refuge from the bustling city.

Pros: The hotel manager and receptionist were incredibly nice and helpful. They were really welcoming and responded to any queries we had very quickly and gave us helpful advice about local tourist attractions and restaurants. The hotel rooms were spacious, really clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and really peaceful. There was a large swimming pool, but it was not heated and too cold to use in September. There was a jacuzzi and sauna which we used and I booked a massage which was provided by an outside company who attended the hotel. It was wonderful and one of the best massages I have ever had.

Cons: I failed to realise, before booking, that there is no restaurant on site. The hotel provides breakfast only and snacks on request during the day, but the price of the rooms was equivalent to a hotel that also has a restaurant. As the hotel is in the suburbs of Saint Remy, it meant having to drive to another location for dinner. Although Taxis and Uber exists, they are expensive, e.g. we were quoted £51 each way to travel to a village 10 minutes away, so we chose to drive. On our other night we chose to buy food from a supermarket and eat it at the hotel. We would have preferred it if the hotel had a restaurant so we could enjoy the evenings in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings.

Pros: We left our previous accom early due to disappoint, but we SO weren’t disappointed with Mas Valentine. It was everything we expected in our Provence holiday. The building and rooms are gorgeous, the staff are wonderful and will do anything for you. The location just out of St Remy was perfect. We highly recommend Mas Valentine.

Pros: Nice hotel in a “Mas” which is a type of house in Provence. Very clean place, lovely staff and practical location.

Because of the staff and great location I would visit this hotel again.

Pros: The staff was amazing. Especially the manager, Laurence, went the extra mile to accommodate all our needs. Very decent breakfast!

Cons: The hotel needs to have some facilities to accommodate its clients needs. Reception service should be extended to at least midnight or 24 hours. Outdoor restrooms for the swimming pool Restaurant in the hotel to offer lunch or dinner.

Pros: Wonderful place, lovely house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Swimmers will be delighted with the massive pool in the garden.
