Pros: The flat is in excellent condition and well equipped. The location is superb, right on Cr Mirabeau. The windows face the rear, so there are no problems with outside noise. In addition, a public car park (Parking Mignet) is less than a 5-minute walk away. Many comments mention the lack of a lift, but this was not a problem for us at all. There are three flights of very wide stairs with low steps. Access to the flat is very easy and the instructions for accessing the flat are very clear.
Cons: There aren't many flaws in the flat, except for a few faulty light bulbs. The unusual thing is the online check-in process, which the owners use to ensure that any damage is covered by a deposit (which is not charged if there is no damage, of course). It's not a scam and it's not a difficult process, but in the end, the company offering the service charged us about €12 fees. This is rather unpleasant.

Great and very central apartment - with some aspects to take note of.
Pros: The location and the chic and tasteful style of the apartment.
Cons: The four flights of stairs. (The number of flights was not mentioned). The arrangement of the main room bed right under a low roof beam. The bed should be moved away, closer to the entrance to the room. A hand soccer game in the main bedroom, taking up useful room space. There is no place for something like this - in an otherwise very chic apartment.

The 83 steps in Aix - easy without a suitcase
Pros: Top location in central Aix on the Cours Mirabeau with lots of pubs and restaurants, but very quiet in this top floor location. Excellent quality and efficient air conditioning needed in temperatures reaching 40C in a hot week in Aix. The use of a washing machine helped in the hot, sweaty conditions. Good coffee machine using large coffee sachets and large fridge. Open living room and kitchen area. I recommend the Mirabeau and Four Courts for dining and beers.
Cons: The booking process for the deposit payment was convoluted and not obvious - took much data for Swikly/Mangopay. Being asked 2-3 times by Swikly for insurance in case of damage etc. Most of this unnecessary and the process should be simplified. The only issue with the apartment is that 20-25% is not usable because of the low ceiling but that is minor.

Very pleasant
Pros: Brilliant location couldn’t be more central. Quiet at night. Comfortable beds and light aspect. Well equipped
Cons: Low beams - needed to watch our heads! A lot of steps to reach it but we knew that in advance.

Pros: Great location, comfortable beds, clean and stylish.
Cons: Having the toilet in the centre of the apartment was not ideal and affected our privacy. There were only three mugs provided which was inconvenient as there were four of us staying.

We had an excellent week's stay in this chic, modern, quiet and well-appointed loft apartment!
Pros: The location of this very chic apartment is superb - right in the centre of the lovely town of Aix-en-Provence and only a few hundred metres from all the shops and facilities we needed, right on but facing away from the Cours Mirabeau and therefore quiet at night. Also it is close to the station (10 mins walk) which we used three times to make sight-seeing trips from. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, nicely furnished and very nicely decorated with a modern black-and-white colour scheme. The beds were very comfortable. The sitting and kitchen areas were perfectly good and the shower in the modern shower room was excellent.
Cons: There is very little to dislike in this stylish, modern loft apartment! The stairways up to the apartment (80 steps) are a little tedious (there is no lift), but not a problem if the visitor is reasonably fit. The sloping roofs (ceilings) of the apartment in the sitting area and in the two bedrooms make the window-sides of the rooms too low to stand fully upright in, but as this is a converted loft this was expected. The WC is fitted in to this loft conversion with walls (and a roof) which are a built a little too thinly, but this facility is OK. The bathing towels (provided by the host) are a little too small (and thin), and there is an excellent shower, but no bath.

Superb location and apartment but be aware it is up two flights of stairs
Pros: The apartment is in a superb position. You step out of the door straight into the centre of the old town. We could not believe the choice of bars and places to eat. There is plenty of space but some headroom is tight. It was nice to open the windows and look at the views. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet. We used the washing machine and dryer as we travel light with no problems.
Cons: There was four of us staying and there is a sort of four seater sofa but an extra chair could easily be fitted in. The only alternative is the kitchen stools which were not the most comfortable. Our friends are elderly and were a bit shocked by the two flights of stairs but that is the price you pay for such a good location

Well appointed flat in ideal location for exploring Aix
Pros: Great location in the heart of the Cours Mirabeau Close to all the sights and walking distance from the railway station. Beautiful flat at the top of an old building. All mod cons provided.
Cons: The coffee machine seemed to clog up and not provide much output!

generally a good stay
Pros: great location. beautiful inside , well presented and very clean
Cons: was at the top of the building and only accessible by the staircase. equivalent to 4 stories. we are travelling for 6 weeks so have bags that weight 12 -15 kg and I have arthritis. it was hard to move our luggage. This would be great if it’s clearer when booking. despite this it was a lovely apartment. The process to get access is a bit convoluted. Once you have booked , and the booking confirmed you only then are advised the owner want to do a security check and you have to send a deposit and photo ID for an external company to complete the security verification. it would be good to know this well in advance as we like to know who has our personal information and how they ensure it is only used for this purpose and protected. we were also instructed that we would have to take out our rubbish at the end of the stay, back down all those stairs along with our bags, and place it in the allocated bins. This is something that paying guests do not usually have to do. owner may want to consider that the guest already has to do a bit to get access to the property so taking out the rubbish and putting all used linens ( towels and strip the bed) into the shower might be for the cleaner ??

We had a lovely stay and Melanie went out of her way to allow us an early check in.
Pros: Excellent location. Beautifull bathroom. Washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher is a bonus. Air conditioning is lovely.
Cons: No elevator in the building and the apartment is on the top floor, which is a bit of a schlep when you have to carry heavy luggage upstairs.
