Hotel Cardinal

Peaceful and comfortable.

Pros: Brilliant location, right in the city yet very peaceful. Loved the classic french style of the building and furnishings. Decent continental breakfast with gallons of coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. I hope I have the opportunity to stay there again one day.

Pros: Very spacious and cosy comfortable bedroom. Interesting decor. Great and quiet location. Copious and good value breakfast with lovely tea service and classical music.

Cons: The shower was hand held over the bath.

Pros: Everything, charming place and room, kind hosts . Fantastic location. Loved it, would definitely return. Loved the artwork painted by family.

Pros: Lovely, old building in a great, quiet location but not too far from the main parts of town.

Cons: Kitchen lacking in utensils. Needs flipper, cutting board, sharp knife that isnt broken, and a few other small essentials.

Très charmant

Pros: This is a delightful, charming very French hotel. Staff are helpful and pleasant. And kind. Breakfast was lovely, with tea, coffee and orange juice served in silverware. Hôtel is next door to Musée Granet and very central to enjoying what this gorgeous city has to offer.

Cons: Nothing to add here. Wish I had more than one night.

Pros: We’ve stayed here once before - the no 26 garden apartment is self contained, roomy and well equipped as well as furnished in a vintage French style. Lovely large and comfortable bed. Staff are charming and helpful when you need them and not intrusive.

Cons: Nothing, everything was good which is why we returned fir a second time.

Cons: There's no elevator, so stairs are a problem. Breakfast could have been better

Perfectly situated and close to everything.

Pros: The hotel was perfectly situated, close to everything. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were simple, but had whats needed. Bed was fine. We did not have much contact with the staff, as we didnt pass the frontdesk on our way in and out of the hotel. Loved the streets surrounding the hotel. And the entry way to our room. Felt as if we had a little house in the back.

Cons: Only thing was that the bathroom smelled very much of sewer. It was extremely intense when we arrived and we aired out a lot. We told the frontdesk. Not sure if they have done anything since. I think the smell came from the sink. But it didn't smell in the rest of the two rooms.
