Hôtel Escaletto

Good hotel in great location near to city centre.

Pros: we stayed for 3 nights at the Escaletto. The room was comfortable and clean. The room was cold when we arrived and it took quite a while for the heating to get it to a reasonable temperature. The facilities were good, although no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold buffet foods. Staff were friendly and efficient. Once the pedestrianisation works on Sextus the environs will be nicer.

Wounderful Stay - Highly Recommended!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help, which made everything feel easy and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with high-quality products from local producers – truly a treat! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center. Would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful end to a great holiday in a special city

Pros: Brilliant location and friendly staff! Loved the biew from the rooftop bar!

Great location for visiting Aix, friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms.

Pros: The location was great, the staff very friendly, the hotel was very clean. Loved the shutters that totally shut out light which made sleeping in very easy. Just wished there was the opportunity to make drinks in the room. Only a small point as tea and coffee were available downstairs.

Cons: Could have benefitted with tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Pros: Perfect location in the city center. The stuff was great. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons: Very small room, lack of natural light.

Not surprised this hotel is so popular

Pros: Well-located hotel, just outside the pedestrianised part of the old town, with exceptional staff - at reception, kitchen and housekeeping, all are helpful, welcoming and professional. They all spoke good English but were prepared to be patient as I practiced my French! Room was comfortable and kept super clean. No fridge in the room but there was chilled water available at reception, which kept our water bottles replenished for our stay. If I return to Aix I will stay here again.

Cons: Nothing, apart from lack of fridge in room.

Lovely hotel, well situated for the pretty town. Remember to rebook parking if needed.

Pros: Fabulously clean. Lovely staff. Really great hotel, we forgot to book to park and the team were so helpful finding alternative spaces.

Cons: Some construction outside but that will be temporary and with the great shutters we didn’t hear anything

Long weekend glorious Aix

Pros: It’s in a great location and staff are super friendly

Cons: Towels were a bit thin and not super white

Pros: Comfortable hotel in a great location, easy walking distance to everything. Great value for money. Beds were very good quality and comfortable. Sacha on front desk was very friendly and helpful. Nice rooftop area for having sunset drinks.

Cons: My friends and I booked the same room (paid same), however their room was bigger and had a bath - whereas ours only had a shower. I felt their room was superior. Driving instructions to hotel not very clear and confusing (road works were taking place so required a diversion).
